Members of the Japanese American Citizens League and community lead the candlelight procession during the 2024 Day of Remembrance walk to honor those who were interned on Feb. 19, 1942, due to Executive Order 9066 signed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The procession continued around the block as San Jose Taiko accompanied the event with pieces specially prepared for the Day of Remembrance.
